Plyometrics

Plyometrics is the least well-known training system in this world. Why? Because this training system is new. Really new indeed. The term “Plyometrics”  was first use in the late 60’s. Even when I typed this word, the computer didn’t recognized it. Before that, they were called the “jump training” by the Russian and this training was their secret formula for the success of their high jump and triple jump athletes. Although it have been 40 years, not many coaches and athletes practice it as a crucial part of their conditioning program. But, this training is really good for sports that involve explosiveness. For instance, sprinting, weight lifting, skiing, football, squashy, etc etc. This includes parkour and freerunning. Thanks to Cat for introducing this training to me. As you can see, the diagram shows a Plyometrics book by Human Kinetics. This is the book that i bought from Kinokuniya KLCC last year for a full fat 70 bucks and its really worth it. So now, all I have to do is finding a way to include it in my conditioning program.
